Marketplace Ministry

I remember in my early years of ministry when Dr. James Dobson and I cleaned toilets together. Well maybe I should explain this; I actually cleaned the toilets at a school where I worked, (today I would be called a sanitary technician, then I was just a part-time janitor) and Dr. Dobson was on the radio that I was listening to while I performed my duties as a janitor for one of the local schools. As our church was rather small and I needed to subsidize my income, (I had gotten used to living indoors and eating meals on a regular basis and felt this would be a good thing to mentor to my children) I actually held four jobs besides being the pastor. In addition to my job as part-time janitor I worked on the ambulance as a volunteer paramedic and helped one of the fellows in our church cut wood and drove a mail courier van for the school board.
