Jim's passion is to help leaders grow healthy and effective churches. He has been Pastoring in the Vancouver area for over 25 years. He has served as a Youth, Associate and Lead Pastor and currently leads a church he and his family planted in 1992. Christian Life Community is pastored by a team of 9 full and part time staff members that serve a church of about 500 people. They are currently in a building program and are looking forward to moving out of the High School gymnasium which they have been using for their main gathering for about 15 years. His intention in working with the seminary is to help equip articulate and Spirit empowered leaders who will penetrate our world with the Gospel.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from UBC, a Masters Degree from Regent College and a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. While Pastoring he has taught for a dozen years at Summit Pacific College and since 1997 has served as the Dean and now the President of Canadian Pentecostal Seminary.
