Ways to Support
CPS Fund (Annual Fund)
Canadian Pentecostal Seminary has ongoing general needs to accomplish the day-to-day activities required to provide a level of education second to none. CPS needs faithful individuals and/or businesses that donate to CPS year after year. Gifts to the CPS Fund (or Annual Fund) help make up the difference between what students pay in tuition and what it actually costs for students to attend CPS. Gifts to the CPS Fund are not usually designated to any particular project or program but are given for the seminary to use where most needed.
Annual Goal: Through the generous donations of alumni and friends of the Seminary, we aim to believe God for $200,000 toward the CPS Fund during each fiscal year.
Gifts-in-Kind
Donations to CPS are not limited to cash gifts only. Perhaps you have an item or product that would be helpful in fulfilling the mission of the CPS. Gifts-in-Kind include things like vehicles, furniture, books, computers, produce ... the list goes on. If you have, something that you would like to donate as a Gift-in-Kind the Development Department will be happy to discuss this with you.
*According to Revenue Canada, Gift-in-Kind donations must be formally assessed and appraised by a qualified individual and are eligible for a tax receipt equivalent to the fair market value of the item.

Planned Giving
Planned giving is, very simply, a way for charitable donations to be designated to an organization during the donor's lifetime but the gift is not made available to the recipient until sometime in the future. A planned gift is not limited to cash gifts but can include things such as: wills, bequests, life insurance proceeds, real estate, securities, stocks, RRSP's and RRIF's, gifts-in-kind, etc.
While planned giving provides a great benefit to the recipient, it also provides tax, financial, and estate planning benefits to the donor. Besides that, a planned gift is a way to ensure that your legacy will live on as you influence the lives of CPS students!

Recognition Programs
Wouldn't you like to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come? Perhaps you would like to ensure that the memory of a loved-one is preserved.
A Memorial Bursary is a wonderful way to honor the memory of someone special to you and it provides great financial support to the student(s) who receive the award.
Leave a visible legacy by donating a Memorial Landmark ... a tree, a bench, a book or music collection or by funding a classroom, meeting room, or lounge area. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Endowments
An endowment gift is just one of the many ways that donors can assure a strong financial future for CPS. The original gift (or principal) is never spent; however, the annual interest from the gift may be designated to whatever area the donor decides to direct the gift (i.e. to fund annual scholarships and/or bursaries or to provide funding for various projects, programs or courses).
All endowment gifts to CPS are invested carefully under the management of expert financial advisors who ensure that these investments are allowed to grow and increase in value. In this way, endowments provide a stable source of operating revenue for the CPS.

Sponsorships
There are many ways to support CPS and one of those is through creative sponsorship of various fundraising events and programs. As a business or individual donor, please consider partnering with CPS by being a sponsor for an event:
- Annual CPS Dinner Event
- Student Mission Ministry
- Special Events Church Seminars
- Other Ideas? We would love to hear your suggestions!

Student Bursaries and Awards
CPS wants to establish a broad network of donors who will contribute to the Student Bursary and Awards program. Bursaries and Awards are available to students with outstanding achievement and to those with greater financial need. With your support of student bursaries and awards, you will enable CPS to recruit and retain quality students who will impact their churches, communities, workplaces and ultimately their world for the Kingdom.
Memorial Bursaries are awards that are set up in the donor's own name or to honour a loved one. CPS currently is seeking to establish several such bursaries and awards to serve as a great encouragement to the student recipients but they also leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
Is there someone you would like to honour?
Why not consider setting up a Memorial Scholarship in their name?
